About Fred Warren

Fred Warren is a lifelong storyteller whose creative life has unfolded quietly and persistently for more than three decades. While his nights are spent writing, his days tell an equally compelling story. Fred is the CEO of The United Arc, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and his path to leadership is anything but typical. He began as a frontline employee, deeply connected to the daily work and the people the organization serves. When The United Arc stood on the brink of closure, Fred stepped forward, bringing clarity, courage, and an unshakable sense of purpose. Over the past five years as CEO, he has helped stabilize, rebuild, and reimagine the organization, transforming uncertainty into momentum and vision into action. His leadership is grounded in lived experience, empathy, and a profound belief in inclusion, dignity, and community.

Long before boardrooms and executive decisions, Fred’s love of writing took root and it never left. Even now, he carves out time each evening to write, letting stories unfold after the day’s responsibilities are complete. His work is shaped by years of observation, listening, and understanding people from all walks of life. The same empathy that guides his leadership infuses his writing, giving his characters depth and authenticity. Fred’s stories are thoughtful and human, exploring resilience, connection, and the quiet moments that define us. Writing is not a hobby for him; it is his purpose that lives beyond the office hours. One that has grown richer alongside his professional journey and continues to sharpen his voice as a storyteller.

At the center of everything Fred does is family. A devoted husband for more than 30 years and a proud father of two, he finds inspiration in everyday moments from conversations at home, shared challenges, and small victories. The resilience he witnesses in his family and in the individuals served by The United Arc continually fuels both his leadership and his creative work. Whether guiding an organization through critical transformation or shaping a story late into the night, Fred brings heart, humility, and intention to every role he inhabits. His life’s work both on the page and in the community reflects a rare blend of compassion, perseverance, and quiet determination that leaves a lasting impact.

Authors Jason Sutton and Fred Warren have launched an ambitious campaign to bring history, and a powerful reimagining of it, directly to those who lived through it. Their new novel, Deadline Dallas, reimagines the events surrounding the JFK assassination, blending historical fact with gripping plots and political intrigue. Set for release November 18th of this year, the book offers a fresh perspective on one of the most defining moments of the 20th century.

Their campaign, titled “5000 Books for Seniors,” aims to raise funds to purchase and distribute 5,000 copies of Deadline Dallas to senior centers and veterans homes across the globe. Many of these individuals vividly remember November 22, 1963, the confusion, grief, and unanswered questions that followed. This novel isn’t just a story, it’s a conversation starter, a memory rekindler, and a bridge between past and present.

With your donation, the authors will be able to cover the cost of printing and shipping thousands of copies directly to seniors who might not otherwise have access to new books. Every donated helps get a copy into the hands of someone who remembers where they were the day President Kennedy was shot.

Whether you’re passionate about history, care about senior engagement, or simply love supporting authors with purpose, this campaign invites you to make a lasting impact.

📚 Every book matters - help us reach 5,000 seniors with Deadline Dallas.
